We are opening an investigation into Grok because we believe that X may have breached the DSA.
We have seen over the last weeks and months antisemitic content, non-consensual deepfakes of women, and child sexual abuse material.
In Europe, no company will make money by violating our fundamental rights.

@EUCommission good! And finally!

As usual, you are posting such big-mouthed rants against #X and #Grok exclusively here on the #Fediverse, but keep your mouth shut on your X account.
You're just pathetic cowards, fooling no one anymore.

@EUCommission Thus spoke the EU Commission, whilst and at the same time stubbornly keeping putting its own data and processes in the greedy hands of another equally dismal company, against the expressed concerns and directives from the EU parliament.
Walk the walk. Don’t just talk the talk.

@EUCommission Stop posting on them then. Stop using them then. You and everyone else in European institutions. Social media companies are making money through the ads that are being displayed next to the content posted by regular users. No posts from regular users means less ads displayed, which in turn means less money for them.

It will assess whether the company properly assessed and mitigated risks associated with the deployment of Grok's functionalities into X in the EU." (emphasis added)

@EUCommission I'll believe it once I see it. As of now you're actively funding X by having a presence there - and posting regularly - hence directing ad income their way.

@EUCommission Then stop taking money from the lobby groups, stop deregulation, start holding them accountable. 155 Million Euros in lobby money in 2025 divided between 733 lobby groups, the biggest spenders are the usual suspects.
All our data go to US tech corporations for whatever purposes while we in turn get the right-wing propaganda by the big players who are all firmly behind Trump whose goal it is to destroy NATO and the EU. What could go wrong, right?

Shouldn't anyone who tries then be suspended until the end of the investigation? Or is not damaging their revenue more important than not harming citizen rights?
