Just discovered part of my HRT has been discontinued due to an AI note taking error. Gynae did not say discontinue, and I have letters to prove it. Now I may have to be without testosterone until this is proven, which may mean another 6 month wait to resee a gynaecologist via NHS. Hopefully my letters will suffice, but currently unclear.
I am beyond furious. Also, wow. Fuck living in this dystopia.

@Thayer please find a way to sue. I am staunch in my belief that the only thing that will stop this kind of AI nonsense is when companies (or services in this case) refuse to use it for applications like these because no one will accept liability. But until we find ways to establish concrete legal liability, companies will (and you can argue in America that they have to) simply shrug it off!

@alisynthesis @rgarner I didn't consent to it. GPs just use it these days. This is an AI summary of a letter that the gynae sent to both me and the doctor. Thankfully I keep all my records in hard copy due to deep medical mistrust, and also my reference. Which seems to have worked out on this occasion!
@Thayer @alisynthesis @rgarner Yup. For some reason my Dr. releases literally all of my records into provider portal and before my last consult there was a note from an "AI prescription evaluator" deciding that I was worthy of not having an aneurysm or losing some toes (lisinopril and metformin).

The AI bros hate trans people. The UK government hates trans people. I would put good money on this being deliberate programming on the part of someone trying to fuck people over.

@Thayer Consider the underground market. Although it is illegal (like everything else...) T is very commonly used to cheat in sports. This creates demand that in turn induces supply.

@Thayer that's outrageous. Exactly why I changed doctors after they started using an AI transcription thing. I hope they sort it out in a matter of days, not months.
