    Excuse me, I think my cat (@Menhit) is broken:

    (To clarify: she's SLEEPING in that position, lying on her upside-down head with her front paw raised in mid-air. This wasn't an action shot of cat yoga, it was a static pose!)

    @cstross @Menhit Cats came from other planet/galaxy by space ship.

    They learned to stare on one point (watching navigation instruments), sleep in strange positions (without gravitation) and more.

    Yes, that is what cats really are.

        @cstross @Menhit @LibertyForward1 no, no, I would absolutely not be surprised to find my own calico in that position.

        Works as designed, ticket closed ✅

          @cstross @Menhit awwww

          i tend to the opinion that cats are far better at getting comfortable than i am — so, who are we to question?

            @cstross @Menhit Cats know that comfort comes from within, so any position can be comfortable, if they believe it is. 🪷

              @cstross @Menhit
              Sometimes you have to pick them up and move them in a figure 8 pattern to recalibrate their motion sensors.

                @cstross @Menhit Sleepy in the front, ready to jump in the back. I know that from my sisters dog, just not that extreme.

                  @cstross @Menhit Caught my dog in the same position after he'd worn himself out in the pool. His butt had actually slid down a bit before I managed to find my phone. I guess butt in the air is restorative?

                    @cstross @Menhit ah yes, this will happen if you have the assembly instructions upside down.

                    Start over but make sure you complete module B (the neck assembly) before attempting to connect modules A and C, otherwise it can get top-heavy.

                        Looks like it got hit by a sunbeam in midjump.
                        Felled by a nap attack.

                        Don't worry, it will reboot and come back.

                        😂
