How are we supposed to alt-text a screenshot of a paragraph or two? I always type my alt-text manually.

I'd never post a screenshot of text in any case. But is there a tool for that?

@Scoll there are plenty of OCR sorts of tools online that'll do that for free. Just be sure to proofread the results before posting.

I think the default web UI from mastodon does allow to extract text from pictures too
