@eniko it is a battle to stop her from licking it while we're eating it ourselves, and almost impossible to keep her from licking it if it is out and we've stepped away for a second...

Just the one, though, the other one will lick it if it's on your hands and you let her sniff, but it is not her favourite (her favourite is fried seaweed snacks).

@eniko Not sure. He has allergy (still unknown to what) and sensitive stomach so we try to prevent him from eating anything that's not his prescribed diet. I don't think he has shown interest (but we also don't use mayonnaise a lot, as Chinese)

@eniko I don't know, and I don't think they know either. Yoghurt bowls tend to have a bit of yoghurt left in them so they always appear if someone is eating it. But mayonnaise tends to be wiped off our plates pretty completely by us, so they don't have a chance to try.

Fwiw we don't let our cat have mayonnaise but if there's even a speck of mayo on a plate that is left accessible to her she will find it and she *will* lick it. She's the feline Liam Neeson of mayo

She doesn't do this with other stuff, only mayo

@eniko one of my cats can't resist ice cream. If you have ice cream they will jump on you and be relentless to get it. Finish a bowl and set it down? He is immediately there desperate to lick the bowl. He can't help himself.

One time there was a mouse in my old apartment. We saw it scurrying around at times but never saw any other sign of it.

When we moved out, we were emptying out the pantry and pulled out the tray we toss single serving condiments packets in when we get takeout. Every packet of mayo was ripped open and licked clean and evenly other condiment completely untouched.
