I have a dull practical boring thing to do today.

@wolf We could make it a competition. The Procrastination Olympics. The winner is the loser, because they achieved something.
@CiaraNi Challenge accepted. On your marks! Ready, set,

There is a picture of her as the Log Lady on English Wikipedia:

@dhobern @Nickiquote There she is! Thank you

Procrastination skills like that can't be taught. Takes years of training, that does. Learning the art of foostering about, not doing the thing.
@CiaraNi I think it's called Zen or something, and it's a very desirable skill.

Celebratory cake has been unlocked!
(Although... You'll have to procrastinate your way through buying or making it yourself
)@folfdk Celebratory cake - yes! I'm feeling so Got It Over With smug that I may even put lille Dannebrogs in it. Maybe I could ride up to the door of the bakery and shout in, asking them to throw a cake out to me. So I don't have to go to the unnecessary effort of actually getting of my bike.

God arbejdslyst!@tanyakaroli @CiaraNi Takk for tipsen!
Jeg skulle aldri har leste den alt-tekst ellers.

@hakona
- exactly how I'm feeling. Also smug, if there's an emoji for that. -
@CiaraNi Procrastishooting...I haven't heard that hashtag yet. The resting log is next level.
@MargaretSefton I just had a look and it is a very exclusive hashtag - I am the only person in the Fediverse who uses it. I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed.
-
@CiaraNi
I probaly caught on because over in B.C., my home province, log houses are popular, thankfully they are a more spacious and provide more shelter than this one.
@TrueNorthSpice @CiaraNi That is because the trees are bigger over there!
-
@NatureMC Saint Procastina. Sounds like one of the cool saints. One of the women who would've fooled them all into letting her be Pope, except that she lost interest half-way through.
-
I know it's rude to brag, but today I completed a dull practical boring task that would normally take about two and a half hours in just under six hours.
@CiaraNi Congrats!
-
@CiaraNi Good thing about jobs like that is that you finally get your toenails clipped, your 7 varieties of flat-bread lined up nicely, and a couple of toots sent, all in a single day !
@hakona This is it. Procrastination is productive.
-
@CiaraNi I thought it was waiting for the bus
@woollypigs Hahaha - now I think it is waiting for the bus too. Now that you've said it, I can't unsee it.
-
@CiaraNi "The suspense in the interim will do the rest of us good. "
Ah! A Hitchcock fan.

@CiaraNi Ha!

@CiaraNi Challenge accepted. On your marks! Ready, set,
@wolf Set your timer, so! To take the gold, you need to beat 'took 2.4 times the necessary time to do a simple uncomplicated task'.
-
@CiaraNi I think it's called Zen or something, and it's a very desirable skill.
@nightlynx I should put it on my CV
-
@tanyakaroli @CiaraNi Takk for tipsen!

@CiaraNi Congrats!
@agturcz Thank you! I feel a greater sense of achievement now than if I'd done it in the normal amount of time.
-
@wolf Set your timer, so! To take the gold, you need to beat 'took 2.4 times the necessary time to do a simple uncomplicated task'.
@CiaraNi On it right away! I'll hit that timer.
I will, and I swear. You won't have to remind me every year from now, I will.

Yeah! Why don't they have drive in for bikes?
