Hi, y'all smart people. What video conferencing platform do you use? I'm not doing Google Meet after its AI feature took a photo of me during a call and broadcast it. Now I read the Zoom CEO was at the Melania screening. What non-big tech platforms do you recommend?

- We use a self-hosted instance of BigBlueButton - it's great (https://bigbluebutton.org/hosting/ )
- https://meet.jit.si/ is a public Jitsi instance, but for quality, again it's better to self-host. meet.jit.si can get overloaded

There are even FOSS mobile apps available for Android → https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.infomaniak.meet/ and iOS → https://apps.apple.com/us/app/infomaniak-kmeet/id1505940319 but they are not required neither (it works in the browser).

There isn't a Fedi one AFAIK as video conferencing isn't usually about social networks, but the FOSS apps Jitsi, Jami and Nextcloud Talk have fans.
