@GoodNewsGreyShoes thank you so much. This artwork is on a A4 bamboo watercolor paper. It is for a young audience book.
About my webcomics, it is a scifi cartoonish about a cat that were exiled for its uncommon powers, in a universe with many actors as an animal intelligence community, aliens, mythological and paranormal characters and stories. Yet the main subjects are relationships between very different background and realities characters and about kindness and how to stay good on adversities -

@GoodNewsGreyShoes I'm starting and there is much stories to be told yet! Many of them are already written or being produced / drawn. To be honest it is not easy for me to summarize it, since there is a lot of moods and different genres involved. Let me know what you think and feel reading it later, at your pace!

As long as you cw it properly an 18+ image isn't that bad
Provided, of course, that the comic is 18+. For reach; use hashtags - since people can follow them and the feed is chronological they have punch. 3 - 5 is a good amount. Boost your comic toots often too. Another thing you can do is talk with people who shares your interests. It's a bit hard to get out of the stand-up version of social media that is fb/X/etc, but it's rewarding in the long run.

@MarthaCrimson yeah! That is what I'm noticing! Before here I was already in bsky and I feel the same, that it is not a place for being passive and just going with the tide. Which is a good thing!

@renatozechetto Great to see more comics people on Fedi, unfortunately I don’t have anything to offer on the technical side. You might try the (hashtag) GetFediHelp, and maybe checking out that (hashtag) WordPress feed to see if it’s in anybody’s profiles/bios for someone to reach out to.

Hello and welcome! I use Wordpress myself, although admittedly updating it has been on the back burner recently.@JenJen has definitely gone through the whole rigamarole of organising a Patreon replacement with Wordpress, and iirc she's using Paid Memberships Pro with WooCommerce.
I can't remember what newsletter plugin she uses now, so if she's not stuck in deadline hell she might be able to help. There may even be a video about it.

oh, and if you have the spare energy and you want to reach a queer audience, I'd recommend an instance that's a bit less block-happy than mastodon.art

I've heard others comic artists say Wordpress's MailPoet plugin is great for newsletters. I don't have any wordpress tips, but https://comixcleric.com is coming up as a wordpress alt~To reach people,you can check https://fedi.tips/fun-and-useful-hashtags-to-follow-on-mastodon-and-the-wider-fediverse to add to your posts!
There are also groups you can post to to share your artwork more directly to anyone that opts into following the group https://about.fedigroups.social/directory

I’ve been on the fediverse for almost three years and my music endeavors have been mixed. I get people to link to my Linktree site fairly often, but my Wordpress site where I have tried to sell music and paintings is a bit of a dud. One reason is that most of my followers are fellow musicians and artists, while what you need to do is find hashtags that appeal to your target audience and use those hashtags to boost your posts. Also, follow as many people as possible, only about half of people you follow will follow back, if my experience translates. Also, the audience here in the fediverse is a bit skimpy, with about 11 million users and only about 10% of those are actively using the fediverse.

@jaypeach53 thank you! I guess I know what you mean - I feel it as a general issue on social media. I do not like the mechanics of follow-too-be-followed to be honest, and I am getting already overwhelmed here with so much information, but I'm not complaining! It really feels good to get feedback and support! It is amazing!

@jaypeach53 hey, I just have browsed your links, and yet it is only my personal opinion, not a rule, I can say that maybe because of so many links it gets somewhat confuse and overwhelming to know your work and stuff! As I said, not a rule to follow blindly, and I can be wrong - you are the only one who knows what is best for you - but for sure if it was less fragmented it would be less friction to browse, be understood, converted, etc! @OctaviaConAmore thank you! I totally agree about being a human, not a brand! Still I do sometimes struggle with this as usually people says the opposite and I have some trauma issues on exposing myself in the social media (but I was for sure on the right side - like being defamed for being pro palestine since more than a decade ago...

@OctaviaConAmore About "less block-happy" I don't really understood the meaning. Maybe because I'm not an engllish native speaker? But yeah, I totally support queer community, yet I'm not into this debate. I am cis hetero and stuff, but I have queer in family, and totally care about then and their safety and freedom!

I'm not into sex content, yet I do respect and am supportive of who makes it (as long itt is not crime stuff such pedho stuff and other offensive and criminal stuff). By the way, the people I talked about fediverse are telling me this is an issue of fediverse. But this is an issue in discord and other, and they don't seem to worry about it... Feels like bigtech defamatory propaganda... Don't really know
