Today I learned, if you accidentally delete your Mastodon account, it will send out delete notifications to everyone who follows you so that they stop following you. Reinstating your account is not enough. Would appreciate a boost - I don't want to tag everyone who was previously following me. That feels very rude.

@jeff_bonner ah, Jeff. The problem with this is there's two ways to take it. You're either calling me a liar, or you're saying it sucks. If it's the former, I’m going to invite you to examine how you're choosing to spend your Sunday, and maybe touch grass. If it's the latter; yeah it's annoying but I managed to make a list of everyone I was previously following and get them re-followed. I wasn't expecting this post to get as boosted as it has!

Like you, I had my Mastodon account deleted.
I made the "mistake" of querying a post about Israel and was immediately inundated with vile attacks from the Israeli quadrant
They got me immediately barred, Mastodon leapt to it and complied, never asked my side of the story or offered explanation. I was wiped.
Learnt my lesson there. -
