Washed an unused dark red bedsheet and a red 18th century petticoat I made a handful of years ago since they're both red, looked at them both drying and decided I'd rather make a new dark red petticoat from the sheet and cut up my old red petticoat for bodice mock-ups, because the latter is faded and has a couple of holes.
So that's what I'm doing now apparently. This thing is also entirely hand sewn, so a bitch to unpick!

So that's what I'm doing now apparently. This thing is also entirely hand sewn, so a bitch to unpick!
Unpicked and ironed the three new old pieces of mock-up fabric, but I don't really feel like making another mock-up nor a new petticoat, so perhaps I shall just see about putting pin curls on this new wig I ordered probably weeks ago and have been consistently not doing anything with yet.

I've figured out how to get the specific type of curl I want, now to figure out how to go about curling the entire wig without losing my mind, as it has about eight times the amount of hair a generic human head would, and most of my vintage curling experience was on models with only about double the amount of hair a generic human head would, or myself, with much much less that.
The curl does look lovely, but good grief the process!

Well, that was about two hours of curling and setting hair, I guess. It looks nice right now, with the curls still in little rolls, and I am absolutely going to need a snack and some tea before I even attempt brushing it out to see if it does what I want it to
