A common (indeed, universal) tactic of abusers is to brazenly lie about events, forcing victims to (at least outwardly) bow to that lie.

This isn’t about truth. It’s about power, dominance, and the sick satisfaction of “getting away with” the abuse AND the lie.

Keep this in mind as the Fanta Fuhrer and his criminal cabal flat-out lie about murdering citizens in broad daylight. It isn’t that Mango Mussolini is being shown “AI” vids catering to his dementia. It’s simply an attempt to assert dominance by forcing us to accept the lie.

@lilithsaintcrow has he been diagnosed with dementia and said so in public?

Addendum: Saying “they have to be misleading Tangerine Twitler with ‘AI’ slop” seems to me perilously close to, “If only Comrade Stalin knew, he’d stop the purges.” It elides responsibility and covers up the abuse dynamic. I really do not believe him unaware or “misled”.

Yup, that's what immediately comes to mind. "If only the Fuhrer knew"
The assumption of good faith from someone who's spent their life openly boasting about being a con artist is breathtaking.

@FediThing *smacks table* THANK you. Sometimes I feel I’m going crazy, seeing all this and naming it for what it is.

The fucking media cowards saying "Was she asking for it or not?" (or variations thereof) as their headline is infuriating.
This is fascism, we need to be saying and showing what is going on or we are doomed.

@lilithsaintcrow See also: DARVO:
DARVO is a tactic used by a perpetrator to avoid accountability for their actions. As the acronym suggests, DARVO commonly involves these steps:
- The perpetrator denies the harm or abuse ever took place.
- When confronted with evidence, the perpetrator then attacks the person that they had harmed, or are still harming. The attacker may also attack the victim's family or friends.
- Finally, the perpetrator claims that they were or are actually the victim in the situation, thus reversing the positions of victim and offender. It often involves not just playing the victim but also victim blaming.
