Apparently this is AI generated; I am so sorry for not noticing. It sucks that this is the world we are being forced into, where we have to analyse everything to such a degree.
Generative AI can eat my entire ass.

@BR549
If you're adding in extras, I’ll claim your 22 and add in another for my V-Cord II, a precursor to VHS and Betamax by Sanyo that was the first videotape player able to pause the picture. Add another for saving files from my Texas Instruments TI-99 to a cassette tape. That puts my score at 24, if you’ll allow it -

@Shards Are you sure? it looks too normal and well done.

@Shards I've actually done all those once common things. But I'm ancient...
-

I managed 20/20 and my bones are dust.
@Shards I've done all 20, not that rare for an old millennial
-
@Shards Allow me to add some perspective.
I recorded on wire. Yes a wire recorder.
Dial phone? What about no dial "get me Aldritch 1427".
Seen a TV test pattern at midnight with a Native American on one of the three channels
C'mon some of you have more
@randulo @Shards Yep, I can add all those. The wire recorder I used was a Silvertone unit that also included an AM radio and a record turntable, where the turntable doubled as a wire spool. Adding your list to mine brings me up to 29 out of 20. The operator I interacted with was making connections from the WYandott exchange, and let's not leave out eavesdropping via party lines. Yep--I'm familiar. Very. -

@Shards 20/20, though as a European, it wasn’t Blockbuster but some other video store;
and I only used cheques a handful of times during a stay in the U.S. in the mid-90s.

@Yuriel I’m not sure, but others have pointed it out. I hate not being sure of reality anymore.

@Shards 12/20 does that mean i'm still young?
-

I managed 20/20 and my bones are dust.
@Shards ha! I've never actually faxed in either direction! only used online services to do it for me!
-

I managed 20/20 and my bones are dust.
@Shards hell, I did several of these just yesterday

All 20!

@Shards 20/20 for me too. I used to have 20:20 vision, and a head of hair, but am enriched with knowledge I wish I’d known when younger
-
@Shards I’ll take 21/20 because I’ve done 8”, 5.25”, and 3.5”discs.
@mangotable @Shards
Hell, I had an arrhythmia computer in one ICU that used a platter that was 24” in diameter, iirc. Booting that bad boy up after a shutdown was a nightmare, took about five minutes and was common to have it crash on startup. Worse was the unit at another facility, it booted up from a paper tape spool, and though it never tore and always managed to boot up without a glitch, it was quite nerve wracking -

@Shards I’ll show myself to the nursing home….

@Shards Bingo!

@Shards 19/20 here. I never owned a paper encyclopedia, but I've used one many times. I feel this is an odd one out though. It says "used" instead of "owned" for the other items in the list.

@Shards 19, since we did not have Blockbuster here -

I managed 20/20 and my bones are dust.
@Shards I managed 19/20, because we didn't have blockbuster. 20/20 for generic video rental place.

@Shards
I missed 20 (i used cheques to draw money, but the only thing I paid with a cheque was using a special, conformed cheque) and 15 (when I finally owned an VCR, videoclubs were disappearing, no blockbusters on my neighbourhood).
