Not true! A sliver of the state (Pacific Plate) is sliding northwest relative to the continent (North American Plate) and will result in several sections of the coast becoming islands or peninsulas or sea floor, but that break away and sink stuff is just wishful thinking, it ain’t gonna be that clean!

@spytfyre @VeroniqueB99 Geology check: California will not break away and sink. Part of the state is moving north and part is moving south. So eventually we'll be in Mexico and Canada...but not the ocean. My part of California is moving north, but we won't be part of Canada in my lifetime unless we take steps to make it so now.

The very first thing that hits you is the insane relief sigh you breathe... and you become conscious of just how stressed you were now that you're not... it's so weird. Every time I sneeze my son (27) says "Let's go see the doctor!" like some battle cry...

So yeah i can imagine the stress even being sick must be there when it's not rare to see 300.000+$ for a simple surgery
