For the record, this is not a case of everything else getting so stupid that #Wikipedia suddenly isn't so bad by comparison.
Even a decade and a half ago, when all of this hand-wringing about WP ruining knowledge was taking place, proper studies found that it had about the same error rate as a good printed encyclopedia - because those weren't perfect either.
