If you saw a bunch of dudes wearing masks running into a bank firing shotguns, you wouldn't say "That seems inconsistent with the law".

You would say you saw a bank robbery.

Could you be wrong? I guess it's not impossible, but you would look considerably less like an idiot if you were than if you insisted on hedging your eyewitness account.

The only thing you get out of not calling crime crime is more crime.
