It's a perfect example of how to suck as an IP-riding business; Fender doesn't want to make the guitars we want to play, but they also don't want anyone else to make them for us.
John Mayer asked Fender first & they refused to make the guitar he wanted because "it wouldn't be a Strat", but when PRS makes it for him, it suddenly IS a Strat? Fuck off, Leo.
