@randahl @scottjenson FWIW something very much like this is part of the default @phanpy interface, at least in the main feed - there's a marker to show that a post is part of a thread & each post in a thread, if displayed individually somewhere in the feed (e.g. being boosted) has a number (though the total number of posts in the tread isn't displayed, probably because the interface doesn't "know" if the thread is finished).
I use nothing but Phanpy on both desktop & mobile, it rules
