TIL that Redox, the Rust-based microkernel operating system, fully rejects slop code :

    > Redox OS does not accept contributions generated by LLMs (Large Language Models), sometimes also referred to as "AI". This policy is not open to discussion, any content submitted that is clearly labelled as LLM-generated (including issues, merge requests, and merge request descriptions) will be immediately closed, and any attempt to bypass this policy will result in a ban from the project.

it's of course a very alpha project, not something I'd try unless I wanted to help develop a new operating system. but it also seems farther along than I imagined:

@elilla we need more os diversity but i wish they implement standards in a way that can't be seen as maliciously incompatible (looking at you two, macos and openbsd)

but, yea, hopefully in a few years our hard dependency on linux will be gone

@elilla Great to hear! It's not a full OS, but Chimera Linux has policy against LLMs as well! And apparently Alpine is considering it. Of course then there's the Linux kernel, but perhaps it's some of the best current options.
