@stullekovski @meganL @malte
They were apparently sponsoring a right-winger's YouTube channel in France.

@malte yeah people are real slow on the uptake on the concept of "power corrupts". If you have managed to get enough money to be able to just donate 5 million to any political cause, you have had too much fucking money for too long and this has already driven you insane.

Mullvad is a political company fighting for free speech, free information and privacy, with two equal co-founders, co-owners and co-CEOs who fundamentally disagree on many issues. Daniel's donation to a political party is private and not part of Mullvad's mission. We protect the right to express and access views we disagree with. We welcome anyone sharing these core values, whatever their other opinions. We are happy to refund others who don't, where we can.

@mullvadnet Good to hear there are differences and the co-owners are not aligned. The problem is that Daniel Berntsson is making this money through Mullvad, i.e. there's a reason why your paying users see how they're practically funding this donation. The question on everyone's mind is: Why give my money to a company owned by someone who then goes on to share the profits with a right-wing extremist party?
