    This is truly glorious #AISlop from #Microslop in their "Introduction to Github" course.

    I don't know why Tim is working in the opposite direction, but I can see that he never once "morges" his code back into develop, let alone doing it "continvoucly"

    Update:

    It looks as though after 4-5 months the page has been updated, but if you want to see the image in situ still then the way back machine has you covered.

      @dazfuller I used to be an author of Learn modules. It was a few years ago, but I think they were moving heavily into AI produced documentation. I think this proves it. So sad.

                @dazfuller @munin to ensure this occurs, all we must do is begin to use the verb in spoken and written exchanges. See: @pluralistic’s “enshittification”.

                  @bencomp @dazfuller It was there yesterday when I looked at it.

                  I actually submitted negative feedback letting them know in particular how unhelpful that image was. Between that and the flack here on Masto, wouldn't be surprised if someone went "oh shit" and fixed it.

                    @dazfuller as I shared with @munin

                    I love the English #language! Ever-evolving with new verbs and terms. (Now, with #slopification!) In this instance, I’ll gladly employ “to morg” because, based purely on context, it seems to be defined as

                    morg / mɔrg /
                    verb
                    to cause a deadly or grossly negligent outcome upon merge

                    Use in a sentence
                    *After the changes were shipped, they published just before failover and morged the live, resulting in an outage for the on call.*

                          @writeon1 an ironic choice considering the root of this thread, and that most individuals involved in this thread understand the damaging impacts of generative #AI and GenAI slop, and are likely to be anti-GenAI.

                                        @dazfuller as I shared with @munin

                                        @aleciabatson @dazfuller @munin, as well that that's not a soft ‘g’ because otherwise it'd sound very like “merge” (in a strong Northumbrian accent)…

                                          @bartholin @ohmrun @dazfuller Or is it? I think it's an nm ligature so it's Tinm.

                                          Would we be able to discern Tinm from Timn?
