    Among all my digital complaining, credit when & where due: I absolutely love that I open my #HomeAssistant once a year - namely about now, when the outside temp drops to "time to put the heat back on" level - and consistently the worst case scenario is replacing the batteries in a thermostat or two... this shit is solid! 🥰👍

          @jwcph hah! I meant about the temperature change. But HA can at least tell you when it's time to change the batteries, too.

            @mweiss Oh, I do have those automations & yes, they do just keep running; heating automation is basically all it's doing for me & it's saved me a lot of money 😊 which is also why I always check in around the change of the season to make sure it is, in fact, still working 😁

              @jwcph yeah I cut my heating costs by about 10% through the automation. And learned a lot about how heat flows in and out of my house to boot.
