@wendypalmer
Tell her she is building a library, not a TBR-Stack.The only limits to physical book buying are money and storage space. Not reading. Shelves are optional.
Given the size of ebooks and typical laptop / PC storage, the limits are money or half a million novels. One 10T 3.5" HDD in USB adaptor will hold 3 to 10 million novels and might keep for 50 years offline.
Project Gutenberg has how to download their 70,000 & that's viable on broadband. Free & human proofed Public Domain.

@wendypalmer Cool! Lived up in the High Country of NC, and had an Aunt & Uncle that lived in Highlands, NC which isn't too far from Brevard, where this bookstore is located.. Beautiful little town.
-
@wendypalmer@mastodon.ayou dont know me
*as I move a stack of books to make room for the new ones, humming happily* -
@wendypalmer if any similar rule were enforced, I’d have been banned since I was, like… 12.
-
@wendypalmer I am also in this picture.

-
@wendypalmer I don't usually do grammar peeves but it's a bookstore, so "any more" not "anymore".
-
@wendypalmer Yeah, that’s a little too close for comfort
