It's hard to be happy, because we all just watched a man get executed by the state on film, for the high crime of trying to help one of his neighbors escape being attacked with chemical weapons by a nazi. That's a moment that deserves every bit of gravity your mind and heart are assigning it.
But in the moments in between, try not to forget what you saw out of Minneapolis and the effectiveness of a general strike. Everyone can do this, everywhere, if you organize well enough.

Doing it in one moderately sized city, for one day, spooked a whole bunch of the capitalist class. If you can do that, for a little longer, everywhere, you can do a lot more than make the rich folks beg Trump to pull out of Minneapolis. That much I promise you.

The money side of the machine is built to be always moving. It doesn't handle shocks and disruptions well. The private sector has been playing politics at your expense, and has gifted you with a brutal fascist regime lead by an unhinged assclown Nazi (this is Stephen Miller) and a rapidly aging cult messiah figure for fascists. None of them are particularly innocent, at least at the corporate level. You can get to Trump, by hurting them, and they are indeed responsible for this.

@AnarchoNinaWrites This is so true & no more evident than in the fact that some of the biggest fascist enabler capitalist entities are the social media & online shopping giants who somehow convinced themselves you can't just go IRL & be fine. Like, yes, AMA is approaching half the online retail market but is still not even 10% of US retail overall. People play ball & have dinners & parties & political discussion all the time without social media. They think they're The Matrix but they're not.
