@purplelime https://www.thenewworld.co.uk/lucy-reade-why-are-all-ai-posters-so-bad/

[matildalove@wetdry.world]

@purplelime never thought i'd be begging people to just make their posters in ms word with shitty clipart and comic sans

[purplelime@social.lol]

@matildalove that would one hundred percent be a massive improvement

[purplelime@social.lol]

@BenCotterill I’m doing the same, taking my business elsewhere.

[softproof@mastodon.social]

@purplelime Spot-on. And every hipster-burger joint has signed up to it, looks like.

Luckily nothing makes me blow 20 quid on a burger.

[alexandra@social.lol]

@purplelime Shame it's so funny...

[rayotron@mstdn.social]

@purplelime

Indeed the nail was justly applied and driven with good force.

[the_turtle@polyglot.city]

@purplelime i used to go the Burger Fuck in Hackettstown, New Jersey.

They had pretty good fries.

[garretpolk@mastodon.gamedev.place]

@purplelime My friend does design for restaurants (no AI) and said AI has cut his business in half. Sad.

[dark_stang@kind.social]

@purplelime had to do a double take because that looks a lot like a food truck menu around me

[jargoggles@kolektiva.social]

@purplelime
And the "food" always looks like it would skitter up your arm and lay eggs in you.

[crystal_fish_caves@mstdn.party]

@matildalove @purplelime

then you should love my new youtube channel coming on line right before halloween. I am thinking of adding a No Ai label ironically just because it is so screamingly rudimentary no one could possibly think it is ai; barely above a stick figure flip book. It will be taken either as refreshing or crap but I am willing to risk it

[timwardcam@c.im]

@purplelime "One font only" is better than "every font your software offers" as was common when DTP first came out (unless of course you're making a deliberate parody of a Victorian circus poster).

[p@hj.9fs.net]

i fixed it

#neverslop

[groupnebula563@mastodon.social]

@p @purplelime i admire the time taken to handmake an image in the style of slop instead of just doing the slop

@purplelime these ai slop menus and flyers are showing up all over my little town for local businesses its garish it just legitimately looks bad compared to their old simple fliers and menus
