Not true! A sliver of the state (Pacific Plate) is sliding northwest relative to the continent (North American Plate) and will result in several sections of the coast becoming islands or peninsulas or sea floor, but that break away and sink stuff is just wishful thinking, it ain’t gonna be that clean!

Spend about a work week every year trying to figure out how and why you still have to pay taxed in the US/50k+ dollars to get rid of your citizenship (but it's still worth it)
