It's not because they secretly believe that what they're doing is shameful or whatever else, it's because of the constant and vigilant work of antifascists. If at some point they believe they have nothing to fear from antifascists then they will march without masks.

Activists spend their whole lives in dangerous toil to make Nazis afraid to march openly. It's not the police or state intelligence or whatever else: it's antifascists. Antifascists infiltrate then, research them, identify them, counteract them, etc. Please for the love of everything good recognize that real people are fighting this fight and have been for decades.

@PallasRiot This is why ICE wears masks too: many of them are ex-Proud Boys and they know damned well what happens when people identify them.
