"At a press conference on Monday evening, President Trump said his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, was one of a handful of top advisers who convinced him to launch major combat operations in Iran.

"Meanwhile, the American military is now telling the New York Times that, far from collapsing, the Iranian regime is adapting to the Israeli–American onslaught and finding our weaknesses."

/23"A majority of likely American voters believe that Donald Trump launched the war on Iran at least in part to distract from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal that had engulfed his presidency, according to a new survey.
The survey found that a solid 52-40 majority of voters agreed with the statement, with the other 8% saying they were unsure as to his motivations."

The disclosure raises additional questions about the role of Kushner, who is being paid tens of millions of dollars annually by Middle Eastern governments that were reportedly lobbying Trump to attack Iran."

@wdlindsy Isn't he the new co-owner of EA, together with the regent of Saudi Arabia?

@wdlindsy Trump went to war because he's a fool running a government of fools that hires fools.
He's also utterly devoid of human qualities.@Eetschrijver @wdlindsy A government elected and still supported by fools.

@wdlindsy Wow, just wow.
And then to think that Jared's family is very close to Netanyahu's family.
The world is about to implode on this little gang of thugs.

@wdlindsy fucken Damien.

"It should not surprise you that the same team which invited a reporter into a Signal chat about war plans a few months ago have been blindsided by the Iranian regime’s resilience.
After less than two weeks, regime change is off the table and even the Israeli military understands that the Islamic Republic isn’t going away anytime soon."

@wdlindsy That's the thing that surprises me: not the blundering U.S. leadership, but rather *Israel* thinking that this would somehow be easy? They have intelligence services and analysts. They can't kill their way to their goals unless they . . . oh, please tell me that they don't plan to try to nuke their way toward their goals. That is a frightening prospect with irreversible consequences.

most *settlers* need to realize that the distraction is simply a byproduct of his efforts to fucking kill and oppress as much people as possible. this isnt a fucking show, and the real lives of the women, men, and children being slaughtered in iran arent just a spectactle, theyre living souls being slaughtered alongside all the living souls slaughtered by ice and israel and the police in both nations. to write their deaths off as a distraction is genuinely horrific behavior. our struggles are interconnected and if the people dont realize that they will never understand how to fight back in any meaningful way, resorting to peaceful protests waiting for our oppressors to gain a conscience they dont possess, while said oppressors turn their cheek and gleefully continue their slaughter, for pleas and strongly worded letters mean nothing. -
"Trump started a war just because he thought he could — without asking Congress for authorization or building any public consent.
It’s one of the most irresponsible decisions made by a U.S. president in modern history."

@wdlindsy Since the corrupt son in law is being paid by foreign governments that makes him an unregistered foreign agent. Right? That's not a legal technicality

@wdlindsy I believe he launched it for several reasons: (1) Epstein files, as stated, (2) rich US warmongers lining his pockets with bribes, (3) raising oil prices to help his owner/blackmailer Putin with his crumbling economy.

"Waging war with no fixed purpose means victory can be declared at any point. Donald Trump’s motives for launching Operation Epic Fury against Iran were incoherent at the start. They are no clearer now that he has declared it 'very complete, pretty much'. …
Flashing red lights on the financial dashboard were surely the prompt for Trump’s pledge to bring his military adventure to a swift conclusion."

"A tacit deal has come into view. Forget freedom. Iranians can still be repressed as long as shipping through the strait of Hormuz is unmolested.
The biggest non-combatant beneficiary from Operation Epic Fury has been Vladimir Putin. His country’s ailing economy gets revenue relief from higher energy prices."

"To lubricate global supply, Washington has waived sanctions on India buying Russian oil. A sustained barrage of Iranian missiles targeting US allies in the Gulf depletes stocks of defensive systems that Ukraine also needs. …
Making Trump feel great is the undoing of American greatness. In arrogating power to himself, the president undermines the foundations of his country’s strength in the world and damages its allies."
