@Natasha_Jay Poland is not a socialist country, yet we have public healthcare. You pay your taxes, and that’s it. When you compare the taxes we pay with the premiums Americans pay, it works out cheaper here. When the state uses the taxes paid by citizens to do something for them, that isn't communism. Back in Babylon, the state built irrigation systems using tax revenue. That works better than the free market.

@Natasha_Jay Private companies are profit-driven. The state is not. I do not know what profit margin a private insurer in the US has, or how much of the premiums it keeps for itself. In Poland, healthcare administration costs amount to 4%.

@Natasha_Jay I watched an American movie called *Angels Among Us*. It’s terrifying. A man is working but has no insurance because private insurers refuse to cover him. His wife dies, and he’s left with a $400,000 debt. He also has to pay for his daughter’s medical treatment. And yet, he works. What is the point of paying taxes? What is the state for? How can anyone be a patriot in the USA when the country couldn't care less about its citizens? You pay taxes and get nothing in return.
