Let me introduce myself: I’m Naor, a Dutch guy with a masters degree in experimental physics. I’m passionate about tackling the climate crisis, which is how I’ve ended up in the world of energy transition policy.
I have never really been into social media, mostly because of the companies that run the platforms. But after reading @pluralistic’s book Enshittification I figured I’d give Mastodon a try.

Hoewel vooral betrokken bij de duurzame energie voorziening van niet urbane gebieden, ben ik in Nijmegen betrokken bij maatregelen om bovenverdiepingen verhuurbaar te houden door het nemen van maatregelen tegen hittestress en het voorkomen van wateroverlast bij hoosbuien.
@greenfrogg_nl Interessant! Aan wat voor maatregelen tegen hittestress moet ik dan denken? Vooral passieve maatregelen zoals zonwering?

Welkom in het Fediversum, Naor! Tot nu toe kan ik in ieder geval eerlijk zeggen dat het hier een *veel* beschaafdere plek is dan X of welke andere, door miljardairs gecontroleerde, vergelijkbare platforms dan ook! Ik ben helemaal geen expert op het gebied van experimentele natuurkunde, maar ik hoop dat je het hier naar je zin zult hebben!

Not sure what your particular flat positioning is but I read recently that in France they're putting solar panels on upright fencing. May be of interest to you? Could they go on your block's walls?
