Me too, and this AI hype is a big factor in that.

TBH I lean towards pity for people who are completely lost (believing "their" AI is sentient) and loathe the people who are still aware that it's a tool, but believe/pretend that it's way more useful than it is or otherwise advocate for it. Worse if they're trying to push it on me personally, of course.

Can't help ridiculing both kinds, though..

Ah, ReiserFS. At Usenix in the naughties, a senior IBM engineer explained that "they make nipple clamps for people who like ReiserFS."

I feel that should have been a warning, but sysadmins are already accustomed to pain so we missed it.
