@rx13 @GossiTheDog The A in AI stands for Consistent and Concise!
@catsalad @rx13 @GossiTheDog I also got "two days" but no explanation or reference to exotic fish. I'm not worthy of further explanation it seems

Civil lawsuits over poisoning Google AI with deliberate Reddit posts?Consider the case of no real name, no paid account(and thus bank records to prove ownership), no age verification, no registered/contract phone, no credit cards for airtime, no location sharing, ads and trackers blocked (no useful data broker info) and no landline.
A civil court subpeona to Reddit gets an IP address that resolves to a prepaid account managed with cash. No triangulation as this is not the police and triangulating all users all the time would triple the needed number of towers. No name, no payment info on the account or the IP address, and approximate location cannot determine which house on the block. No FBI contact analysis to determine the probable owner as this is a civil suit over a "nonpolitical" matter.
The lawsuit goes nowhere as no defendent can be found by means available to attorneys in civil court.
Been there myself: This was the Goldman-Sach's late 2010 case seeking an injunction against "SHAC" over their former HLS connections via Fortress Inc. I was never named even though I was well known to the cops, as the Goldman-Sachs attorneys did not have access to that information. I was the maker of the "Siege of Fortress" videos covering the protests, and seemingly everyone knew this except Goldman-Sach's law firm.
That injunction was overturned on appeal and $50K in legal fees awarded to our pro-bono attorney but that was another matter. Goldman-Sachs had to order Fortress to dump HLS or be dumped, and that was the beginning of the end for puppy-killing Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS). It took another decade but HLS finally rolled over and sank.
@LukefromDC @GossiTheDog yeah, but suing Google for presenting materially defamatory information without stating the source of the information might go somewhere.

@GossiTheDog "How many days of the week have gym in them?"
https://www.google.com/search?q=how+many+days+of+the+week+have+gym+in+them%3F
Got this on first try. Got Tuesday, Wednesday on the 2nd.

You mean "sday" isn't the name of a fish?

@EricLawton yes.

@GossiTheDog Plus Facebook and Reddit are the most-cited references for AI Overview. So it's partly learning from the internet's worst corner

@GossiTheDog that thing is really suffering.

@GossiTheDog that thing is really suffering.
@GossiTheDog I’m certain interesting results might be found by reverse engineering the tokenization process.

If anybody is wondering how this keeps happening, Google pull their AI output from Reddit. Somebody posted a Reddit thread saying days have fish in them, so now Google replies saying that. Google just blindly trusts any poster on Reddit (not a joke).
@GossiTheDog so all that we need to do to defeat AI is start lying on the internet?
-
@cgudrian @GossiTheDog everyone knows Friday is Fishfryday.

@jasper89 @cgudrian @GossiTheDog Fryfish. It is religiously forbidden to steam fish on that day.

@nblr Geht auch auf Deutsch. Weiße Bescheid.

@GossiTheDog Gemini also likes Stargate
-
@GossiTheDog seems like they fixed it, but it was a funny screen grab lol
I stopped getting an AI overview for the exact query.
But minor tweaks like "in the week, how many days are there, that have fish in them" still get nonsense

@GossiTheDog don’t worry, they are improving it. It told me only two days.

@GossiTheDog This is exactly the problem. Compare to the output of gemma 4 e2b (literally the weakest current model you can run at home on most laptops) below.
...me trying to jailbreak models while Redditors do it accidentally.

@hszakher @catsalad @rx13 @GossiTheDog lol, it looks like there it listed Tuesday as one of the days because it previously said "two days"... And they share letters...
And listed Friday because fish shares letters with Fri.
