Welcome to Mastodon! I've been very pleased with my move here.@mtechman the bear is actually a metaphor for my current state of burnout in very many ways.. think Black Dog only more prone to sleeping in a cave in the woods.

@ItMightBeCain I'm dealing with medical stuff and resulting fatigue so I think of bears with fondness. I could hibernate! Also I love bear emojis. But the black dog reference reminds me of my father telling me unhelpful stuff about feeling down.
Some kind and nature-focused people here cheer me up... -

@ItMightBeCain Thanks so much! I am having ups and downs and mostly good. Some of my iffy memories are actually great fodder for....ummm growth. I'm actually whining less lately. And having some travel ideas, which is amazing. 2025 was a "shitshow" (I love it when one of my doctors talks about U.S. politics.)
