@masek I’m glad I saved my old parallel laplink cable from 40 years ago. Came in handy when I needed to transfer some data off an old XT. :).

@masek @briankrebs Retro Computer Collector. I have regretted every old computer cable I’ve tossed. Not true of iPhone cables, though.

I still have VGA cables. Civilizations have risen and fallen since they were last useful, but somehow they remain under my desk, quietly waiting for history to repeat itself.

@masek The problem is, every now and then I _do_ find a use for one. And the countdown to a cable purge is once again reset at ~6,300,000 seconds and counting.
I don't think I have ever seen that countdown hit zero.
