        @privacyguides@mastodon.neat.computer the thing is that code standards at apple are so low and they have probably the worst track record when it comes to security it isn't even close. there was a time when a sec researcher wormed ios from the app store and effectively compromised every iphone in existence back in like 2010 or so. they're basically the least secure vendor in practice all of this is advanced security theatre for infosec weenies to shill to the bossman so they have an excuse to get a macbook at work.

          @jeff they're not fantastic, but if your information is from 15 years ago I'm not super sure how much it holds up today either.
