    Over the last few years, I've purchased a number of Danish language instruction books. With each one, I get through the first lesson or two then give up. They want to teach a whole lot of words and phrases I would never use in my lifetime and they are b-o-r-i-n-g. So, I'm going to get a little more creative and have fun with my language learning (just like I did with Cherokee). I'm going to start by learning words and phrases from a Danish fairy tale book I have. With my Gyldendals Rød Ordbog, a damn thick Danish grammar book, the sound files on ordnet.dk, and help from my danske venner in the Fediverse, I will make a hell of a lot more progress than with those instruction books and have a lot more fun. (I'm glad I finally decided to make this change!)

      @wannabemystiker vi glæder os til at hjælpe med at oversætte ☺️
      Især når det er de børneeventyr vi selv er vokset op med.

      Og, hvor har du fået bogen fra?

        @wannabemystiker God plan!

        En skam at jeg ikke længere har mine gamle Anders And-blade, så jeg kunne sende dig dem. Sproget deri er takket være Sonja Rindom fantastisk:

              @pvrahbek
              I bought it online from Saxo. I've bought a few books from them. I'd love to buy a lot more but the shipping costs to the US is insanely expensive.

                But it was a good pick.

                That reminds me about some books I have to order.
