@rpin42 Does he has the allergy when eating mushrooms? For soil is full of fungi mycelium (the kind of roots), many food plants grow thanks to it.
The company above produces these packages with hemp waste, and the mycelium delivers Chitin from it's cells as a "glue". Chitin is a natural biopolymer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chitin
There are no "mushrooms" in these packages.

. A lot of molds used and growing spaces. Idea is nice though and could replace some packaging of high labor time products. -
