Today in #MentalLoad: my colleague explaining that she buys the presents her kids “give” to her EX in-laws for Christmas.

And the years when her ex has the kids for Christmas she checks with her ex-MIL that there is indeed a decorated tree and a Christmas dinner planned.

Is she an enabler or is she taking care of her kids despite her ex being a waste of space? I find it hard to distinguish sometimes. I guess it's both.

@EvilCartyen @Pepijn I think the second one. I think she's let him fail a few times when the stakes were low, but wanting your kids to have a nice Christmas is a normal parent thing to do.
