I've been enjoying my time on Mastodon far more than my time on Bluesky lately. Think I'm going to stick around for a bit and invest some effort into this platform.
It's just a different vibe. I feel like there's fewer "talkers" and more "doers" here. People building tools and communities, trying to actually change stuff and get involved. Not just bitching online and looking to "debate" people.
Just some thoughts as I flip between the two services on my phone.

Just like mastodon is a decentralized communications service, it is important to diversify all our Social Media access points. Even BS, because multiple sources permit a synthesis of information, and every service might not fail all at once, giving time to communicate vital information.

@Cloudslave it can be hard to connect with people there. I would describe Bluesky as "noisy."
A lot of users follow thousands of accounts, so the only way people can cut through is by basically spam posting and reposting. The result for someone like me only following a few hundred would be an unusable timeline with huge blocks of content from a single account.
Once all the Twitter refugees showed up it started getting toxic because apparently they only get online to fight about politics
@CarlWatkins @Cloudslave yep. this is I think my main complaint about Twitter clones. non-centralized ones avoid the "always encourage more follows because it feeds addiction" somewhat better, but centralized ones always fall into that trap, and it encourages worse-for-everyone behaviors because nothing else works at all

I definitely agree with you about the vibe on Mastodon, but Bluesky is useful to have around.
On my phone, I use @openvibe , which allows me to have both in a single app and timeline
