        When I lived in the UK in the 1960s, we had to clean our car windshield every few days.

        Same here in Canada in the 1970s.

        Now, basically never. A rainstorm will take care of the few we get every few months.

        And many birds need those bugs to survive.

          Even notice that I can sit on the patio in summer without swatting myself every few seconds.
          Only seen one bumble bee 🐝 this summer.

              @AnnaAnthro So about starlings and house sparrows, there are excess here in the Americas which is detrimental to native American species. I often wonder if we can send some back. While it won’t likely eliminate them here, perhaps it could be helpful. The concern I have is difference in pathogens, mites and other such things.
