    @cstross While this is likely AI, having one’s leg surgeried on backwards is a real thing (even if surgeried is a word I made up) https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/procedures/rotationplasty

        @cstross This is like one of those puzzles ‘Find six things wrong with this picture’, except six might be selling it short!

          @cstross

          It could be a very funny ad too, though, to be fair. The text above the picture says, "Find trainee positions that are actually suitable to you - with Azubiyo."

          Showing a supposed trainee screwing up the physiotherapy would make sense here if it's supposed to be funny.

          Also, we're talking about Germany...we don't really have AI yet. We just recently moved on from fax and modems to 3G and DSL /shrug.

            @cstross @tomwwolf that left leg is pretty short too. Walks in circles with bad limp. No wonder she needs physio.

                I'd expect this sort of thing from a chiropractor, but never from a real field like physiotherapy.

                🙂

                    @cstross Be warned. This is what happens when you visit an unqualified physiotherapist. The patient seems to have severe oedema in her left ankle too. It’s thicker than my thigh.

                      @cstross Far too much faith is placed in ai for images. How on earth did we get to the point where people assume ai knows how bodies or clocks or indeed any devices move or work. It's only harvesting images, using recognisable sets of pixels in proximity to other pixels. The real surprise is how ai gets any image vaguely correct in the end, even with chance, but yet people are blindly assuming it knows everything about the content of the images it steals.

                              @cstross@wandering.shop It is likely slop, yes, but also:

                              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotationplasty

                              If it were the short leg that is rotated, then I would not be as quick to dismiss it.

                              So, AI got it almost right. 😆

                                My favourite AI attempt was a woman crouching at the starting line of a running track.

                                She had three knees. She had a disconnected blob of flesh floating by her shoulders. There were knuckles everywhere!

                                The caption was: "You too can have a body like mine."

                                    @byrnensorg It's not "artificial intelligence"; there's no intelligence there, just probability-weighted networks. The AI term is gross miss-selling that panders to a human cognitive bias.
