@davidrevoy@framapiaf.org Hugs and comforts. Being in the hegemonically accepted rate of false positives sucks

OMG
"So much inconsistencies...."
Don' t be sad, we all know You for many years (15 - 20) and appreciate your artwork.
A pity that AI is trained with artists stuff and now people cannot tell anymore what is real art.

@davidrevoy there are lots of troll bots and briganding minors active on web now, and their behavior can be identical. plus lots of dumb or intoxicated folks. will explain much of that "pile on of false accusations" effect. its bitten me too. I like Mastodon in part cuz happens here less

@davidrevoy If these comments are mostly coming from Meta's platforms, it's probably just worth ignoring them altogether. They are obviously having a negative influence on you. And those platforms are full of bots and terrible people anyway. Just post and close the tab.

@davidrevoy this is part of why I am both enraged by and nauseated by this AI hype fad. because it ruins society like this
-
@davidrevoy As I said to you a while ago:
Before I started following you personally here, I'd sometimes see people talking about some of your works and about whether they're AI, but when I saw them I *consistently* thought "the Framasoft guy", not "AI".

@datarama @davidrevoy Same. It does have "that look" at a glance, but you can tell that there's actually a point to the details in each panel rather than it just being a "good-enough" response to some prompt.

They're all looking at technical details. Wrong approach. Human artists vary a lot in how
they depict fine details. The way I can tell that your art isn't AI is how closely the mood of the characters matches the dialog. AI can't seem to really understand that people look at people, and isn't very good at subtle emotions displayed through facial expressions and body language.
Of course, in another year that could change ...

@davidrevoy Speaks a lot about "anti-AI" hysteria.
These people don't need art. They need an enemy to vent their frustration on.If only we could simply appreciate art based on whether we like it, no matter who created it.

@davidrevoy, if not "1 mo" markers I would think that these people are having fun of the last comic.

@davidrevoy Ils ont perdu l'habitude de voir du travail de qualité et pensent que, si c'est bien fait, c'est de l'IA. En plus, les images et les sorcières sont souvent assez belles, ce qui est aussi une caractéristique des IA.

@davidrevoy I think the “dang” comment is actually crediting you as the source material.
@teotwaki @davidrevoy My first thought as well, they were probably complimenting and only referencing generated imagery in that these corporations stole their training data from people like you.

@DamonWakes @davidrevoy I don't really think it even has "that look" so bad. There's something about AI cartoon faces that (acknowledging survivorship bias of course) sets off my "I'm about to be mugged in the Uncanny Alley" instincts.
(and this is a bit odd to me, since I struggle a bit with actual human faces.)
