@GeofCox Malik gets the characterization well: Epstein was a human trafficker, but it was in large part to facilitate intelligence.

@GeofCox Always been a common thought that power corrupts absolutely and here we have what happens when power is abused. To think these people are responsible for what our present is, that the cruelty and tumult of our times is because of their corrupting influence. I'm not going to put every malady from the last... oh, 30 years or more, at their feet but I'm certainly going to put 90% of it there.

@GeofCox The sheer depth of depravity coupled with gross senses of unbridled entitlement are beyond galling. These are mentally ill behaviours I feel, not least that the are perpetrated in a vacuum of concern for the targets of their obsessions.
All perpetrators and enablers should be in prison.

I’m grateful to Kenan Malik for the phrase “predatory elite.” Gets to the root of where neoliberal economic policies has got us. Where men seek power and wealth through the revolving door of politics and business to take whatever they want wherever they find it. With no limit on what they can grab for themselves.
A big shout out to Reagan and Thatcher for being the original useful idiots. And the likes of Blair who followed them.
