A thread of people noticing that Trump is not right in the head.

@SuneAuken
The world has already seen a few evil dictators. The question is whether or not we have learned from it. Sanctifying him after his death and painting him in a glorifying light, will only make the effect of his terror regime last so much longer. He scares me, very much . I'm scared for all of us.....
Yeah, I get it. But then it always strikes me that these people want me to be scared, and that gets me so angry that my fear steps in the background.

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar). As always worth your time.
"The president of the United States is clearly mentally unfit for office."
You said it.

Layered onto that, he says things solely with a view to the effect that his statements will have and without the remotest interest in or respect for what would normally be viewed as the substance of his words.
For him there simply is no substance. Reporting should focus always on identifying the impact which he is intending to achieve.
Textual analysis is a fool's game. Instead, highlight and explain his motive.

As someone who has textual analysis as my actual profession I try to play it not as a fools game but as a tool for understanding, but I know what you mean.
Anyway, Trump's instincts were always those of a bullshitter. They become even more pronounced as his consiousness shrinks.

I should do the same

Truth to tell, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But I'll take 10% more indignation and 10% less fear as a clear win.
Over time, it might even be 13%.

I hope you get to at least 60%

Oh, that would be glorious indeed. I'd be ferocious; feral even.

An obvious - and paradoxically beneficial - side effect of today's mad threats from Trump is that talk about his mental decline creeps further into mainstream media. Here it's four star general Barry McCaffrey entering it into the conversation.
