@renardboy @janeishly Funny thing, I've been re-watching James Burke's Connections from 1978. And as he goes through the history of various inventions, we see the same lessons: it's the billionaires. I am amazed to see descriptions of the Middle Ages which are dead-on for current events. Including certain rulers who were egotistical, and engaged in "cruel wars for light reasons" to bolster his self-image.

@renardboy And the normal people a problem too - They often are worse than billionaires because they are more truthful or obvious liers, often disclose their intentions (or schemes) whereas the normal person hides, ducks, ignores, follows and even pays for it - and that in total for me is worse as cowardice / immoral.
Generations of parents who didn't want to face the truth / fix the reality and just kicked the cans down the road telling us to be moral and fair inside increasingly unfair world!
