Anyone with open commissions who wants to do some #art for NetBSD?

@davidrevoy I recently read a @clarkesworld story about this. Didn't know it might be based on actual technology.
The story: "The Animator and the Glazer" by Ju Chu, translated by S. Qiouyi Lu
@sohkamyung @davidrevoy @clarkesworld @netbsd cool! Yhank you for the recommendation.

@netbsd I wish you good luck finding an artist to make your artworks, and I salute your no AI policy for it! 🧡

@davidrevoy @netbsd Well, I for one hope this whole David Revoy / NetBSD / concept art thing works out happily for all concerned.

For the folks unacquainted with the @netbsd toaster (it was notably more red than pink), it's quite the piece of NetBSD lore

We've got a budget for paying for some concept art and can later talk about working with you on some merch. DM us!
Naturally, we cannot accept contributions using generative AI.
@netbsd I would draw for you!

@cr1901 We're looking for something a bit cuter.
@netbsd allow me to suggest Berlin comic artist @Fuchskind

I am actually quite confident if you're looking for people with artistic skills then Fedi is a good bet. There are a good few on here, so there is a chance you may find someone. Many are here to get away from the world of AI generated slop that is impacting their very lives.

@netbsd You can find rate sheet at: https://www.deviantart.com/wetdryvac/journal/Commissions-Rates-1121211984 - though I am typically more expensive for business entities.
I work mostly in physical media for my own enjoyment, but the poster styles at the end can be built by hand, and if you've got examples of styles you prefer, I'd be happy to take a look and let you know if it's something I could manage.

@davidrevoy @netbsd @mboelen That’s awesome! We might need a logo for #bsidesluxembourg2027, if you take commissions or volunteer other things for non profits like us. We just need to lock down a venue first.
