While he's right that it's a normal word in Spanish for the color, anyone with a basic level of English literacy understands the implications it has outside of it and would refrain from its use unless it's _very_ justified.
Hell, even in Spanish it can have some racist connotations. Its use by this individual was very deliberate and has earned him a block.

@amydiehl welp, there's another reason to stop going to Starbucks. I normally don't, except as a treat or on a long drive, but this makes me want to take it further off the list. Stupid corporations playing stupid games... ugh.
