music theory is just composed of several angles you can take to understand what’s there and steal from the things around you
but yeah people miss the point, music is not built from theory, theory is built to aim to understand music (… somewhat)

@nelson there's this discipline in music theory for composing a specific kind of choir whose name I forgot. It's basically here's a bunch of rules to follow, but also if you heard Bach do it it's legit to bend the rules
