    Right in the middle of a rainy moment, a tiny bird becomes the star of something truly magical—a perfect water droplet lands on its head, forming a crown-like splash that feels almost unreal. The timing is flawless, capturing a split second where nature turns playful.
    The photo was taken by Lee Schofer and posted by his partner, Kate Weyer, on her Facebook.

          @luckychronic Here’s a shot I took a few years ago of a raindrop hitting a Greenfinch.
          There’s just too much water in the Robin shot.
          Compare the size of the in-focus drop, the sheer amount of water in the “crown” splash and all the other raindrops in the image.
          Also, as others have stated, the bird would most definitely show some reaction to having been hit on the head like that.
          It’s 100% an AI construction.

            @pycomtois @luckychronic @BelfastRoadster @Adrenochrome for me it is the general event. A drop that big and that near the eyes would induce an eye lid closing reaction, wouldn't it?

            But yeah the crown flatness plane seems off as well

            Yes, a really big drop (see the amount of water, this is relatively heavy) on a tiny bird's head and no visible bird-motion?
            Sorry. Hard to believe.

                @Adrenochrome @EeveeEuphoria

                The guy using @leeschophotography is called Schofield, not Schofer.

                But let's assume, it was just misspelling.

                Ok, so this guy made this amazing picture. This guy sells fine art prints of his pictures. But, surprise, surprise, not of this picture?

                https://leeschophotography.co.uk/shop

                Attributing it to some random photographer is quite the same as attributing it to a non-existing one. This X account is probably not the most reliable source...

                                  @Adrenochrome why I can't just enjoy a pic like this than I need to zoom in and see imperfections so Im sure is not AI.
                                  But yeah, its AI, the drops are not consistente and the imagen is too static and center, the drop dont have movement but the drops in the back yes.
                                  Also that drop is too big is like of the size of a coin, not real lol

                                    @dusepo

                                    Yes, it is, and I hope it's not AI.
                                    But even though it's AI, it made my day.

                                      Fast sicher fake.

                                      Zu flach, und der Tropf darüber entsteht nur im Wasser.

                                      Und ganz viele andere Hinweise, die hier im den Kommentaren schon durchdiskutiert wurden. Keine Tropfen auf dem Gefieder, keine Reaktion des Vogels auf den gigantischen Tropfen, der da auf ihn niedergeprasselt ist.

                                      Ach, und der Name des Fotografen ist falsch. Es gibt einen Schofield (nicht Schofer), und ja, der ist gemäss seinem Insta-Account tatsächlich mit diese Kate unterwegs. Hat aber dieses Foto nicht gepostet. Kate anscheinend auch nicht.

                                        @Adrenochrome Hm. Pls mention next time, that the image is AI generated. This sort of splash occurs only in water
