i’ve long felt that huskies are like, human cosplayers. the way they "talk" with their yelping is very human-like. i wonder if it’s because they may be the one breed of dogs that, from an evolutionary point of view, have spent the most time around humans isolated from other humans due to artic weather patterns.
am just fascinated about how human-like is their communication with or around humans.
now wonder if they talk differently when they know there’s no humans around.

I feel the same about birdsmy mom ended up adopting a cotorra called Cuca and she was the cheekiest parrot. she would whistle at every GUY that walked by our house, especially the mailman. she recognized them and knew their names.
also had pet chickens. wouldn’t even eat their eggs, afraid they’d be fertilized. they knew when i was feeling down and would all crowd around me, like i was part of the flock. birds can be smart as fuck.

@blogdiva Yup! Birds are very sensitive. They watch you (like a hawk

) They know things and have their own personalities. Pete is very cheeky but nervous around people and he has his favourites - and it’s not me! He loves my son and my friend Rene, I’m just his slave 🥴 -

George hated me and would lunge at me whenever I came over. Luckily he always made sure she was in her cage and he had to cover it as well if a spent the night, otherwise she would sing George of the Jungle at the top of her lungs, all night.

Lol, I stayed in a woman's extra bedroom in Davis when I was at school there, at least during the weekdays for 1 quarter. Anyway she had a cockatiel that knew the beginning to Fur Elise except almost always whistled just the first 8 notes and left the last resolving note off... Drove me absolutely bonkers.
