He already knows what I’m going to say if he says something positive about HP, so he rarely brings it up. But it’s tough to strike the right balance. I’m not giving an inch on JKR is bad and trans people are good. But I can’t yell at him every time we talk. Doing the best I can.

I missed most of Gaiman's stuff until relatively recently, so I wasn't heavily invested but it still blew me away what an incredible asshole he is.

MZB's Darkover series was really formative to me growing up, though. I was beyond stunned to find out that the author had NONE of the empathy described in her characters... the cognitive dissonance there is just breathtaking. I can't even.

People smart enough to know better. People who understand emotions and morals well enough to describe them in great detail, and yet... somehow, they're still monsters anyway and they don't even feel bad. How does that WORK??

I don't get it: the books have already been adapted to feature films, why make a tv show (wasting money probably to launder money for someone), I don't really get it...
